The Regulation & Enforcement Service are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work within the Trading Standards & licensing team as a Licensing Compliance Coordinator.
The team is responsible for delivering the Council's licensing functions, ranging from Acupuncture to Zoo licensing. A significant element of the team's workload relates to taxi licensing and the licensing of premises which sell alcohol and/or provide regulated entertainment.
The duties include enforcement of licensing legislation monitoring and gaining compliance through a range of enforcement duties. These include inspection and advice and investigation of complaints, gathering evidence, interviewing under caution, and preparing and presenting cases for prosecution in line with relevant guidance and policies including PACE, RIPA, and the Human Rights Act.
