We have a need for an experienced HR professional to join us at an exciting time in our history, as we grow strong roots for the future. There is huge opportunity here to have impact and gain great experience across all areas of HR, as well as work for a company at the start of a significant change journey.
In this role you will get to:
1. Support the Head of HR in the delivery of the new people strategy, with a key focus on developing a purposeful employee value proposition, building a performance-driven culture, and growing key capabilities across all areas of the business;
2. Act as a trusted partner to colleagues, providing advice, support, and guidance on an array of people-related matters, including recruitment, employee relations areas, wellbeing, and employee engagement initiatives;
3. Support the implementation of a HRIS, helping to design and build the processes that will transform the business, including, but not limited to, employee on and offboarding, employee data and KPI reporting, manager and employee self-service functionality, performance management processes, internal communications functions, and values-based recognition schemes;
4. Oversee and be involved in all aspects of payroll;
5. Support the Head of HR in the review of the benefits and roll out of new policies or provisions;
6. Identify new practices, policies, and processes that will drive efficiencies both within the team but also the wider business, and help to embed these changes across the business;
7. Help to design and build our employee value proposition to engage our colleagues, current and future, including the design of tools to measure elements of engagement;
8. Design and deliver management toolkits (e.g. guides, training, coaching) to build management capabilities.
We’re looking for people who have previous experience in a similar role and who want to be at the forefront of delivering a strategy and rebuilding people-based company processes and systems, and who are happy to get stuck in with operational and administrative tasks whilst we grow and transform our team and company-wide processes.
This is a true generalist role, you’ll work closely with the Head of HR to provide key services and engage with employees for success. You will also demonstrate:
1. Experience of providing support and solutions to managers and leaders at all levels across the full range of employee relations areas;
2. An empathetic style with strong influencing skills and solutions focused;
3. Confidence to operate independently, in sometimes ambiguous circumstances, using own initiative to make practical decisions;
4. Experience of embedding or working with a HRIS to implement new processes;
5. Comfort working with and producing employee data and reporting, using a variety of techniques;
6. Payroll and reward management experience would be an advantage;
7. A sense of humour, resilience, and the ability to see the positive in every situation.
