Duration: Permanent
Location: This role is based in Chester, Cassidy House, Station Road. It is a full-time customer-facing role that requires an on-site presence Monday through Friday.
Band & Salary: Band 6 27,820 - 29,500 (Subject to experience)

About the role
This is an exciting time to join our team of Occupational Health professionals, a fairly new in-house service model, delivered flexibly, out of our 22 Occupational Health locations nationwide. It's a great time to join us on our journey to shape the new service for our organisation and the rail industry.

Who are we looking for?
We're seeking a dedicated candidate to join our team of Medical Coordinators, where your unique skill set will shine. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure effective collaboration within our diverse team and with our valued clients. We value autonomy, and your ability to work independently will be key to your success. Your proficiency in IT, coupled with a deep understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and GDPR compliance, ensures that health governance remains paramount.
What does the average day look like?
In this role, you will ensure the efficient operational delivery of occupational health services by managing diaries and scheduling appointments for various clinical services. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the regional clinic in Glasgow, ensuring it is equipped and ready to serve employees. Providing administrative support, you will welcome employees, handle paperwork, and act as a chaperone when needed. You will maintain accurate records by scanning documents into the IT platform. Additional administrative tasks may be assigned by the Service Delivery Manager. Upholding confidentiality and data protection requirements will be fundamental to your role.
Essential Criteria
1. Excellent knowledge of diary management principles and systems
2. Previous successful experience in prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
3. Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Attention to detail
5. Previous successful experience of working in a team and engaging with virtual team members
6. Able to demonstrate good general IT skills
7. Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR compliance
Desirable
1. Understanding of occupational health services
2. Knowledge of the UK rail industry
