This will help students nurture an understanding of advanced manufacturing processes and product lifecycles.Because of the dynamic nature of the precision metrology industry, placement students will benefit from being in a fast-paced and engaging work environment. They will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining fundamental engineering skills such as: advanced CAD skills, competency with GD&T, a hands-on understanding of metrology and a professional approach to design for manufacture.Key ResponsiblitiesUsing CAD to design parts and create engineering drawings, as well as reviewing them for productionUtilising Product Data Management and Enterprise Resource Planning software to make design changes and request resourcesConducting research and documenting it with technical reportsCollaborating on interdepartmental projects to achieve objectives and meet deadlinesEssential\/Desirable SkillsThe successful applicant should have a can-do, open-minded approach to problem solving.
