Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and make informed decisions on stock replenishment using guidance from the computerised stock system.
2. Organisation: Organise and maintain existing inventory to ensure it is easily and safely accessible.
3. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of stock deliveries, ensuring that all items are accounted for and in good condition.
4. Process Development: Develop efficient systems and processes for stock control to enhance operational efficiency.
5. Delivery Acceptance: Accept deliveries of stock, ensuring that items are undamaged and all ordered products are present.
6. Faulty Goods Management: Facilitate the return of faulty goods and products, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
7. Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of the stock and enforce health and safety rules within the storeroom.
8. Training: Provide training to staff on proper practices and emergency procedures related to stock handling.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience managing an Engineering Stores.
2. Valid forklift licence.
3. Confident, capable individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
4. Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.
5. Proficient in using IT systems and spreadsheets for inventory management.
6. Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good mathematical abilities.
