Job summary Band 6 Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist is responsible for delivering exemplary, physiotherapy services to children and young people with a range of respiratory conditions within Respiratory Outpatients, and Inpatient Paediatric High Dependency Unit. The service provision includes Non-Invasive Ventilation, Cystic Fibrosis, Neuromuscular Specialties and Complex Respiratory caseload. The role involves working autonomously, assessing, diagnosing, providing specialist respiratory care for children with physical disabilities, developmental delays, and complex conditions. There is routine multidisciplinary team working in acute settings. You will manage a defined caseload, using evidence based, patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and record outcomes. You will contribute to the development of the Paediatric Physiotherapy Service and clinically support students and junior staff. This post is based at our Heartlands site, however, as the Trust is a multi-site organisation you may be required to work at any of the Trust sites and may need to change your normal place of work, either temporarily or on a permanent basis because of development or reorganisation of Trust services.
