Our Water company client are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Falmer based team working across a range of Water/Wastewater projects.\n \n This role involves managing and delivering project designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing expertise in design and technical solutions. You will lead or work within a team to deliver projects efficiently, accurately, and in line with the organisation's standards.\n \n Responsibilities\n\nFollow established procedures to ensure safety, sustainability, and compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.\nTake responsibility for your own health and safety, conducting risk assessments and wearing PPE as required.\nProvide technical expertise on water and/or wastewater projects as part of a collaborative project team.\nAssist the Principal Engineer in managing and coordinating various project activities.\nReview and verify datasheets, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.\nPrepare comprehensive reports for project documentation and stakeholder communication.\nPerform quality assurance checks to ensure project deliverables meet high standards.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex design issues, providing innovative solutions.\nProactively pursue professional development, with guidance from line managers, to enhance your skills and knowledge.\nResearch and apply industry best practices to support innovative standardisation efforts, including the promotion of digital design concepts.\n Skills/experience/qualifications\n\nMEng/BEng/BSc or HNC in Civil Engineering, Environmental, or a numerate science-related subject.\nExperience in water/wastewater engineering or asset management within the UK Water Industry\nProgressing towards or already a member of a relevant professional institution.Benefits\n\nFull-time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.\nHybrid working will be permitted - candidate must be commutable to Falmer 3 days a week ideally\nSalary circa £53k depending on experience\nCompany and performance-related bonus\nGenerous pension up to 11% company contribution\n25 days annual leave plus bank hols\nLife assurance equal to 4x salary\nSalary sacrifice electric car scheme (after 6 months service)\nHealth Cash Plan\nTwo paid volunteering days a year\nCompetitive maternity leave and flexible return to work options
