Accounts Assistant -
The Role Assisting the Accounts team with various departmental tasks to ensure smooth running of the department. You must carry out your daily tasks ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, responding positively to the requests the Accounts Department and working effectively as a member of the team.Duties to include but not limited to:
Credit Control• Managing sales invoices• Sending customer statements• Chasing overdue invoices• Taking card payments• Regular reporting to management re debtors list
Cashflow• Daily cashflow forecast in Finance Manager’s absence
Purchase Ledger• Assisting with input of purchase ledger invoices (around 500 per month)• Assisting with reconciliation of supplier statements• Assisting with purchase ledger payment runs
As an Accounts Assistant, you must demonstrate the ability to:• Communicate with customers by telephone and electronically whilst building rapport.• Answer calls for the Accounts Department, take messages or transfer accordingly.• Have a good understanding of both the customer's needs and requirements.• Liaise with other departments.• Participate with department meetings when required.• Other ad hoc duties will be required.
