We are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to help safeguard customer environments, working alongside experienced engineers to implement, review, and manage security policies, procedures, and tooling.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in monitoring and responding to security incidents and alerts.
2. Conduct vulnerability assessments and support security reviews of cloud and on-prem environments.
3. Work with senior engineers to design and implement security controls.
4. Develop and maintain security tools, automation scripts, and documentation.
5. Support the implementation of security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
6. Stay updated on emerging security threats, trends, and best practices.
7. Participate in team meetings, industry conferences, and training events.
8. Support the penetration testing team where required.
What We’re Looking For – Essential Requirements:
1. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
2. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
4. Passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to learn.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a remote environment.
6. Full UK driving license.
7. UK resident for at least 5 years (due to security vetting requirements).
Preferred – Nice to Have:
1. Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, etc.).
2. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, JavaScript, Bash, etc.).
3. Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
4. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
5. Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO, etc.).
6. Previous internship or work experience in an IT Support Role.
