What you'll do
As the Senior Improvement Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be at the forefront of driving operational change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the GM Commercial division. Your key role will involve proposing and developing simplified operating models, ensuring consistent ways of working while collaborating closely with functional and category teams to introduce industry best practices and innovation to drive continuous improvement across the business. Leading workshops and driving decision-making processes, you will create an environment that prioritises prompt delivery, encouraging a "learn and fail" mindset. As the go-to expert on the change and improvement programme, you will provide essential Subject Matter Expertise, lead communication with business-as-usual (BAU) teams, and resolve any impediments to drive successful outcomes and benefits realisation. Your ability to engage, inspire, and influence colleagues at all levels, coupled with a strong focus on continuous learning and development, will play a crucial role in shaping the future success of the division.
Who you are
As a Senior Improvement Manager at Sainsbury's, you are a strategic leader with extensive experience in complex problem-solving, end-to-end project and change management, and a deep understanding of the GM operating model and key functional processes. Your expertise extends to driving continuous improvement and innovation within multi-channel disciplines, such as Sourcing, Buying, Supply Chain, and Merchandising, aligning with corporate strategies for optimal business results. Your ability to lead matrix-managed teams, engage stakeholders at all levels, and inspire a positive change mentality contributes to the successful delivery of key projects and the realisation of benefits, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the global commercial teams.
