Financial Crime Risk and Sanctions Senior Manager | 12 month fixed term contract
Our Financial Crime Risk team within the Risk Management Group is dedicated to ensuring a comprehensive and robust sanctions framework for Macquarie. Based in London or Sydney, you will work with a global team of financial crime specialists to navigate the complex and dynamic sanctions environment, ensuring compliance with international regulations.

What role will you play?
As a Financial Crime Risk Sanctions Senior Manager, you will support the maintenance of the global sanctions framework by ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and embedded in business processes. You will provide day-to-day advisory on complex sanctions escalations, contribute to financial crime compliance risk assessments, and support the development of sanctions training and awareness programs. Additionally, you will engage with industry bodies to stay abreast of best practices and regulatory changes.
What you offer
* Strong academic credentials with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in economic sanctions compliance
* Detailed understanding of laws, regulations, and industry best practices across US, UK, EU, and APAC jurisdictions
* Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory and technical information, and assess complex commercial transactions
* Highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as part of a global team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, effective time management, and strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
