SCP Group are pleased to be recruiting for an experienced warehouse manager to join our fast-growing team in Wolverhampton, the ideal candidate would have some experience in scaffolding which will help to understand the vast amount scaffolding/construction products that we offer.
As the warehouse manager, you’ll be responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, you’ll manage people, processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
You’ll also be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock whist continuing to operate in a fast-paced environment.
The responsibilities of the job include:
· Processing orders
· Sending Shipment Notifications for clients
· Ensuring Quality Objectives and Delivery Deadlines are met
· Prioritising workload and managing time sufficiently
· Administering Stock Control and Stock Checks
· Taking deliveries and checking purchase orders
· Warehouse organization and structure needs to be maintained
· Meeting targets and deadlines set by management
· Attention to detail is crucial
· Ensuring the Warehouse is kept to a clean and presentable standard
· Maintaining Warehouse by initiating, coordinating, managing and enforcing Warehouse operations and enforcing company policies
· Monitoring security and health and safety procedures
· Be able to rearrange Warehouse in accordance to inventory stock levels
· Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results in favour for the company
· Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the Warehouse to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
Skills and experience required:
· Proven work experience as a warehouse manager or similar role (3 years minimum)
· Ideally have experience or a background in scaffolding
· Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
· Strong knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
· Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
· Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full time
Monday to Friday – 8:00 to 16:30 (with 30 min lunch break), 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 (dependant on experience)
