We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Quantity Surveyor with a specialization in Radio Access Networks (RAN) to join our team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and a deep understanding of RAN infrastructure projects. This role involves managing and overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of telecommunications projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure efficient project execution and financial control. Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for RAN infrastructure projects, including the installation and maintenance of antennas, base stations, and related equipment. Analyze project requirements and develop detailed cost plans and financial forecasts. Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and address any issues or discrepancies that arise. Measurement & Valuation: Accurately measure and value work completed by contractors and subcontractors. Prepare and process interim valuations, final accounts, and payment applications. Financial Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints. Conduct regular financial reviews and audits to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks. Project Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and updates to project managers and senior stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including cost reports and progress summaries. Dispute Resolution: Resolve any financial disputes or claims arising from project execution. Collaborate with legal and contractual teams to manage and resolve disputes effectively. Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project engineers, lead engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Qualifications: Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) are highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a significant portion of that experience in telecommunications, specifically RAN projects. Proven track record in managing costs and contracts for complex telecommunications infrastructure projects. Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., RICS) are advantageous. Skills: Strong understanding of RAN technology and infrastructure requirements. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel within the UK as required by project needs. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with relevant software tools for quantity surveying and financial management.
