You will work in our commercial team, learning our processes, facing challenges and driving results, all whilst learning and developing as an individual.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* You will gain a solid understanding of our commercial and estimating practices and processes, developing your skills whilst supporting the team to deliver results
* You will build compelling working relationships, collaborating with both internal and external customers, stakeholders and suppliers
* Support the department with updating commercial records, databases and files, creating financial reports
* Construction procurement, including tendering and estimating
* Construction contract law
* Quantification and measurement, including assessing the cost of works through different stages of a project
* Quantification and Costing, including commercial costs, measurement and pricing tools

Course contents
* Health and Safety: Apply health and safety issues to all activities.
* Sustainability: Demonstrate application of the principles of sustainability.
* Construction Technology: Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects
* Contracts: Be able to apply different types of contracts to different situations.
* Procurement: Assist in the selection of and negotiation with specialist contractors for a construction project.
* Cost control: Assist in the measurement and costing of construction works during a project.
* Financial reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, cash flow and cost forecasts for a construction project.
* Administration: Assist in the collection, collation and storage of relevant data and its analysis.
