We are actively seeking a skilled General Practice (GP) Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias to join our dynamic and dedicated team.
As an experienced GP Vet, you will play a pivotal role in our practice, bringing your expertise to both surgical procedures and client consultations. In this role, you'll encounter a diverse caseload, with a well-balanced mix of surgical and medical cases, all supported by a dedicated and experienced nursing team. We take pride in delivering top-notch care to our patients and supporting our team members' development. Full time hours for this role would be 40 hours over a 4-day workweek and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, with out-of-hours care covered by Vets Now. Byre Veterinary Surgery boasts a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest tools and technology, including endoscopy and laparoscopy. We also specialise in exotics and ophthalmology referrals, ensuring a broad spectrum of cases to challenge and inspire you.
Meet Our Dynamic Team
You'll be part of a collaborative team that includes 4 veterinarians, one of whom is a diplomat in exotics, 4 RVNs, 1 VCA, and 5 dedicated receptionists. We're deeply committed to community involvement, often seen supporting local events such as dog shows and school visits. As a member of our team, you must be MRCVS registered, bringing your passion for veterinary care and dedication to our practice.
