The OATQ journey
We opened our doors in September 2023 on the site of Oasis Academy Brislington, before moving to our purpose-built temporary home on Spring Street in Bedminster in January 2024. We are currently located less than 0.5 miles from Temple Meads train station, at the heart of our vibrant city centre.
In 2027, we will move to our permanent site, situated in Bristol’s Temple Quarter development zone. Oasis Academy Temple Quarter will be at the heart of this development.
Currently, our Academy comprises two-year groups, Year 7 and Year 8. In September 2025 we will have 3-year groups. When we move to our permanent site in 2027, we will have a PAN of 1600 students (1200 in Y7 – Y11 and 400 in sixth form).
The role
The right candidate will join our team in Phase 2 of the academy’s journey, working closely with dedicated practitioners to establish the culture, ethos, and values of a new free school.
This role is an exciting addition as we look to ensure that all subjects are taught by subject specialists. Our English department is made up of a fantastic Head of Department, an English teacher leading whole school Literacy, and our SENCO.

Additional Notes
We welcome applications from ECTs and candidates who are currently undertaking teacher training. This role will involve some out of specialism teaching in the year 2025-26, though we are flexible on subject.
