We are looking for Assistant Cemetery Operative on a full time and permanent contract. As an Assistant Cemetery Operative, you will assist in undertaking the maintenance work across all council-maintained cemeteries and closed church yards. This will include all grass areas, hedges, shrub and rose beds. You will assist in the completion of all ground’s maintenance operations under supervision of the Cemetery Team Leader. The duties will also include but not limited to the below: Grass cutting Hedges, Shrubs and Rose beds Littering and bin emptying Attendant duties (during busy times) To be successful in this post, previous experience in grounds maintenance and working with the Cemetery / Crematorium environment is essential. it is also important that you can adhere to all aspects of the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 in relation to the Grounds Maintenance Division. It is essential that you have previous gardening experience i.e. mowing, strimming, edging of grass etc… Your application will not be considered if you do not have a full and clean driving license.
