Overview
An excellent opportunity has become available to join a respected, long standing designer and manufacturer of high end interior furniture components and decorative hardware. With a reputation for design excellence, premium quality and outstanding customer service, they are entering an exciting growth phase and are looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager as part of their next phase of market expansion.
The Role
In this newly established role, the Area Sales Manager will report to the Sales Director and will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base across the territory. The focus will be on selling to the Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom (KBB) and contract and interior design markets. Covering all of Scotland and parts of Northern England, the role will require regular travel, as well as monthly visits to their Birmingham Head Office for sales meetings. Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver on the regional sales strategy to achieve growth in both revenue and margin
* Proactively develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships
* Leverage market knowledge and competitor analysis to identify and capitalise on growth areas
* Maintain accurate sales reporting, attend industry events and support marketing initiatives
Candidate Profile
* Demonstrated success in proactively selling high-end, design focussed products into the Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom (KBB) and contract and interior design sectors
* Strong business development skills with a consultative sales approach and a genuine appreciation for design
* Proven ability to grow accounts and generate new business, consistently achieving revenue and margin targets while delivering excellent customer service
* Excellent communicator with effective negotiation skills
* Highly self motivated and well organised, with experience managing large, geographically dispersed territories and a willingness to travel as required
