About the Role
SDC, Bridgwater - with flexibility of working from home, minimum 3 days a week in the office.
Are you a driven Project Manager ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have a strong background in delivering complex infrastructure projects with excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills? Are you someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make an impact? If so, come and join EDF as a Project Manager within the MEH Programme!
The Opportunity
As a Project Manager within the Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC (MEH) Programme, you'll oversee scope change management processes, including the transfer of contractual scope from other HPC programmes into the MEH Bulk Installation contract.
You'll also manage site-wide contract changes and support the definition of the MEH core scope, while continuously seeking opportunities to streamline and improve processes. All of this will be delivered with a strong focus on strategic alignment, ensuring seamless integration into the wider programme through the effective execution of plans in line with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP) and Project Delivery Model (PDM).
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in collaborating with cross-functional project teams-including commercial, engineering, quality, project controls, procurement, construction, operations, and safety-to ensure successful coordination and delivery across the MEH Programme. By building strong stakeholder relationships, you'll help drive the delivery of one of Europe's most complex infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and budgetary objectives are consistently met. You'll be responsible for tracking performance, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum across critical activities, all while aligning your work with the strategic direction of the programme.
Supporting the Senior Project Manager, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of detailed plans in line with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP), reporting on key metrics, and proactively managing risks and issues as they arise.
In this role, you'll also champion knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the MEH Alliance. Embedding lessons learned into daily operations, you'll help foster a collaborative environment that supports high performance. Where required, you may also take on direct line management responsibilities and work closely with the HPC Site Construction team to ensure alignment and integration across the wider programme.
Who you are
You'll have strong leadership capabilities and be able to apply them effectively in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You'll demonstrate a solid understanding of the CDM Regulations and have experience in managing multi-discipline EPCM projects, from engineering design through to contract execution and field delivery. Your skillset will include estimating, scheduling, risk management, and Earned Value Management, along with excellent analytical, critical reasoning, and numeracy skills to support effective decision-making and performance tracking.
You'll be confident presenting to, influencing, and facilitating engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and advisors, particularly within regulated environments. You'll have experience operating under NEC commercial frameworks and be well-versed in managing construction activities, complex contract procurement, commercial claims, and negotiations. An understanding of nuclear quality standards and how quality is controlled and assured in this context is also important.
We're looking for someone with proven project management experience who can manage cost, risk, schedule, and change across high-value programmes. A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field is desirable, as is a professional project management qualification such as APM PPQ or similar. Most importantly, you'll be collaborative, solutions-focused, and able to build trusted relationships at all levels to ensure high performance, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the MEH Alliance.
If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you!
