Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UKs largest independent 4x4 dealerships to recruit a Service Advisor in Chelmsford.
Our client has been established for over 50 years and offers in excess of 2000 premium vehicles for sale at their state-of-the-art multi-floor showroom.
Role Description
1. Taking service warranty bookings and inputting on system.
2. Greet customers, discuss, identify and progress routine service and repair requirements.
3. Promote the sale of service/accessories.
4. Ensure that maximum profit is achieved from all service works in accordance with company policy.
5. Discuss and identify manufacturer's warranty, routine service and repair requirements with customers, obtaining background information to assist the service team in diagnosis-testing-inspecting.
6. Ensure that service, repair jobs are completed satisfactorily and to time specified making sure all warranty items are available for return to manufacturers.
7. Issue repair orders to the workshop technicians adding any further information that may assist with repair.
8. Ensure that any delay in the completion of work is reported to the customer.
9. Ensure that all materials used and time employed on each vehicle is recorded on job cards and that the mechanical write up is correct for works carried out and signed accordingly.
10. Accurately cost all invoices for payment.
11. Ensure price lists and charge out rates are kept up to date at all times.
The successful candidate:
1. Experience in a Service Advisor role.
2. Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
3. Knowledge of the Motor industry, parts and service.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
5. Ability to communicate equally with mechanics, customers and senior management.
6. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).
7. Full UK driving licence.
Salary - £40,000 per annum
Hours - 47 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. 1 in 3 Saturday's 8am to 3pm)
