I am a lady in my early 60s, who has some residual cognitive, emotional and physical difficulties following an acquired brain injury some years ago. I am a sociable and family orientated person and live in my own home with my husband. I would like support to access facilities in my local area, such as shopping, going out for coffee, attending local classes and exploring activities in the community.
Responsibilities
I need assistance with some home admin, e.g planning menus for the week and making shopping lists, making routine appointments, e.g podiatry, along with support to help me to attend these sessions.
You will need to have experience of working with someone who has sustained a brain injury, be warm, chatty, patient and reliable and enjoy working as part of a small team. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a consistent and proactive approach.
This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
