An Aerospace company based in Luton is recruiting for Microwave Engineers with expertise in Design and Test of RF and Microwave products. This is an inside IR35 contract for an initial 12-month period.

Principal Microwave Engineer
Are you an experienced Microwave Engineer that would like to aid in the delivery of high-performance RF hardware that forms part of our self-protection systems installed on fast jet, UAV, land, and naval platforms?
What you will do
1. The Microwave Engineer will work with the support of experts in their field to aid in testing, fault diagnostics, proposing and implementing corrective design changes, qualification, verification, and product life cycle support.
2. The scope of work will involve support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for various products.
3. You will be involved in the documents and procedures for the above as well as providing help for the product lifecycle.
What we need from you
What you really must have:
1. Detailed knowledge of test (design proving and production) and integration over a wide selection of different RF / Microwave Electronic products.
2. Experience in testing RF and Microwave Designs with integrated Digital and High-Speed driver controls.
3. Experience of proposing and implementing design changes to RF / Microwave products and/or test methods.
4. A wide breadth of experience with the latest test equipment and able to work independently with limited guidance.
5. Experience of using RF modelling tools (e.g., ADS, Microwave Office) to investigate unexpected test results.
6. Support to IPTs, attend project update meetings, and communicate and work within those teams with good interpersonal skills. Produce reports where necessary and work to test and design procedures.
7. Provide experienced guidance/coaching to other members of the discipline to promote a culture of best practice sharing and knowledge exploitation across the function.
8. Support the various IPTs with guidance and direction to identify, mitigate, or resolve technical issues within projects.
9. You will have either a HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree (Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Applied Physics) or you may just have lots of skills and experience gained through your hard work.
