The instrument technician builds pneumatic and hydraulic control systems for mainly rotary actuators. Builds and commissions HPU’s. Carries out hydraulic flushing & fluid sampling. Technicians also coach and manage apprentices.
Primary responsibilities
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
* Build control systems as per the job file & QA card
* Hydraulic flushing & fluid sampling
* Factory acceptance testing
* Installation and commissioning
* Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
* Trained to SVQ level 3 or equivalent
* Qualified to HNC level or equivalent
* Ideally taken part in and completed an apprenticeship scheme
Experience
* A mechanical, instrument or electrical background will be considered for this role with demonstrable workshop experience.
