We are excited to offer the opportunity to join the Chiltern Adult Mental Health Team as a Receptionist on a job share basis, working 2 days per week. At our Amersham location. As a key member of the frontline team, you will play a crucial role in supporting both staff and patients. Main duties of the job Deal with all enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner. These may be via telephone, face to face or written contact. As the first point of contact you will need to consider a wide range of information to ensure each patient's needs are progressed or referred on. This includes initial handling of complaints. Use advanced communication skills when dealing with patients who may have special needs or exhibit challenging behaviour. Use a networked computerised system to manage multiple diaries and input patient information Obtain personal details and other sensitive social and medical information, often of a complex nature. Handle all information in accordance with relevant legislation and with high regard for confidentiality. Provide information and advice about Adult Mental Health services and access to NHS emergency Mental Health, including out of hours services. Receive and transmit information electronically using the Oxfordshire networked e-mail system, and provide general clerical support, including letter writing and correspondence when necessary.
