Our Manufacturing Engineering function has an excellent opportunity as an Industrial Architect to join the team based in Manor Royal, Crawley.
About You
We are looking for someone who is a proactive leader with a passion for driving change and empowering our teams. As well as the below:
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Input to reviews throughout the Bid & Project lifecycle on behalf of Industry to define and approve industrial solution (within the agreed Industrial Strategy).
* Input to reviews throughout the Engineering lifecycle on behalf of Industry to define and approve industrial solution (within the agreed Industrial Strategy).
* Create Industrialisation Plans for projects/products that delivers our Industrial Strategy and is linked to the Integration, Validation, Verification and Qualification Plans. Includes contribution to the Make/Team/Buy decisions.
* Contribute to the creation of Production Plans that define how products are manufactured.
* Responsible for the agreeing the definition of estimates for Projects/Products and the associated financial commitment (inc. Capex).
* Responsible for delivery of Industrial Work Packages for Industrialisation activity.
* Lead the assessment of Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL) for products within business.
* Lead and support Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
* Ensure the implementation of DFx principles within the Product Lifecycle.
* Support the maturity of Industry 4.0 approaches with new products aligned to the UK roadmap.
* Develop key relationships within the business to further the collaborative working with Engineering.
* Contributes to the design and deployment of the Industrial Strategy (MTIP) within the business.
* Responsible for the transfer of technology to other sites/countries where identified within Industrial Strategy.
* Develop others in the team through mentoring & sharing knowledge. Assist in the development of the Manufacturing Engineering function (e.g. process, training, technology).
* Keep up to date with current Industrial technology and standards.
Competencies/Behaviours
* Proven specialist in Industrialisation/NPI principles.
* Capable to influence and mobilise peer networks in relevant specialists and domains to support and improve the industrial activity.
* Confident to present to cross-functional groups.
* Demonstrated understanding of lean principles and Designs.
