Domestic Violence Support Worker (*Female)

When individuals and families leave their home in fear of domestic violence and abuse, they usually leave their belongings, friends, and families and have suffered trauma. Do you want to be a part of their journey through recovery and towards self-confidence and independence? Join a team working in refuge to help people and children turn their lives around.
LWA is looking for Domestic Violence Support Workers (refuge) to support individuals and families in refuges and safe houses in Leeds. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively to attain the best outcomes for our service users.
You will need:
1. Experience of providing structured support to vulnerable adults
2. An excellent understanding of domestic violence and abuse and its impact on individuals and families
3. Values consistent with those of LWA and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic abuse, honour-based violence, forced marriage, stalking, and harassment and is the lead agency for two consortia, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women and Girls Alliance.
The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 3rd March 2025 with interviews being held on Monday 10th March 2025.
