A well-regarded secondary school in Morecambe is seeking to hire a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team following. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an HLTA across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) and be enthusiastic about committing to a full-time position, which may lead to a temp-perm opportunity.
Responsibilities:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher with various aspects of the daily classroom activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting in teaching pre-set work to full classes, small groups, and individuals. You will also be responsible for conducting 1:1 and small group intervention sessions to help targeted pupils and those requiring additional support.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an HLTA or Cover Supervisor is preferred.
- Experience working across KS3 and KS4 is essential.
- Flexibility in your approach to work is essential.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
- Experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) is preferable.
- A genuine passion for working in the field of education is highly valued.
