Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of lifts on our construction sites. This involves supervising the installation, commissioning, and regular maintenance of lifts, as well as acting as the Authorised Person (AP) for lift operations.
You will be required to work closely with our site management team, project managers, contractors, and external suppliers to ensure that all lift-related activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage all lifting operations on-site.
* Prepare, review, and approve lift-specific risk assessments, method statements, and lifting plans.
* Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including LOLER and PUWER.
* Supervise and mentor junior lift engineers, technicians, and contractors.
* Maintain accurate records of all lift operations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Lift Engineer, preferably within a construction environment.
* Authorised Person (AP) certification or experience in lifting operations.
* Strong understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret lift drawings and technical manuals.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
