* The post holder will be responsible for assisting the therapy staff in the screening, application and monitoring treatment programmes of delegated patients within a broad framework laid down by and as directed by the supervising therapist.
* The clinical support worker may not receive daily supervision and should be able to take some responsibility for their work and that of others.
* To work within the multi-disciplinary team helping to ensure that the input is integrated into the patients' overall care.

Job responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual for the Band 3 Therapy Assistant post within the Community Rehabilitation Team in WEB (WOODBURY, EXMOUTH and BUDLEIGH). Experience and relevant skills in caring for people would benefit this role.
You will be working flexibly and be available for both extended days and seven days working.
You will play a fundamental part in improving people's lives when they are most vulnerable. You will be working with Physiotherapists and Occupational therapists to set goals, support patients by enabling them to maintain their independence, dignity & wellbeing, give advice & support, and provide rehabilitation.
In return, we will provide you with robust induction support and the opportunity to develop with the guidance of experienced senior staff. We actively support CPD for further career progress.
The successful candidate will be part of the Community Rehabilitation therapy team based at Exmouth Community Hospital (WEB-CRT), working independently under the supervision of a qualified therapist and supporting clinicians to provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Patient contact is fundamental to the role, as the successful candidate will deliver therapy programmes, including non-complex assessments, progression of treatments and discharge planning. The position also requires close contact with family/carers and other professionals.
Working Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week - Seven-day Service delivery. Successful Candidates will be expected to work one Late shift a week and one Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every four weekends.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings.
