Join Our Team as a Building Maintenance Engineer
Location: London (100% site-based across GP centres, Outpatient Clinics, and Offices). Note: Occasional travel may be required outside London - travel arrangements will be paid for if this occurs.
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts aligned with GP Clinic hours).
Contract: Permanent.
Salary: £37,000 - £41,000 (DOE).

Job responsibilities
Your Responsibilities
Work in partnership with another building maintenance colleague, you will carry out general building/clinic maintenance duties, including:
1. Basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing tasks
2. Replacing tiles, flooring, and painting/decorating
3. Responding to and completing maintenance requests via our internal system, prioritising urgent tasks and emergencies impacting patients or colleagues
4. Providing technical advice and guidance on repairs and improvements
5. Assisting with office maintenance and repairs
6. Collaborating as a team on maintenance planning and contractor coordination where essential
7. Supporting cost control and validating quotations with the Estates Manager
8. Supporting teams during the opening of new clinics, ensuring everything is ready in time
Person Specification
Qualifications
1. Qualified in building maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds/NVQ)
2. Basic plumbing or electrical certifications are desirable (but not essential)
3. Solid understanding of all areas within building services
4. Strong IT and communication skills for reporting tasks and managing systems
5. Experience in office or healthcare settings is advantageous
