The Opportunity
Given recent and forecasted project growth, a fantastic opportunity has opened up for an experienced Quality Engineer to help support our client within their Project Delivery Quality function. You’ll play a vital part in the success of its goals. You will also assist Quality Leads in solving complex, challenging issues and help ensure Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery.
The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for reporting directly to the Quality Leads. You will assist them in solving complex, challenging issues and help ensure Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery. This role will be based between the following areas: Leiston/London/Bristol.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
1. Reporting directly to the Quality Leads, assisting them in solving complex, challenging issues.
2. Ensuring Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery.
3. Occasionally traveling to project locations within the UK to achieve close collaboration with our wider project team members and other stakeholders.
4. Supporting the Quality Leads in managing daily PDO Quality QA/QC activities, including creating, reviewing, updating, and reporting on PDO Quality governance and manufacturing/construction documents.
5. Taking ownership and driving improvements, such as developing processes and procedures, audit plans, and implementing new methodologies using problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve issues.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Experience of working in the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industry and within an ISO 9001 operating environment.
2. Ideally, experience of working within a project environment.
3. Minimum education of HNC/HND qualification level in a science/engineering-based subject, or equivalent qualification.
4. Experience in QA/QC and use of reporting tools.
5. Experience of capturing and driving continuous improvement methods and tools.
