NW Architects is a well-established and exciting architectural practice based in Leeds city centre (5 mins from the train station). Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Associate/Architect/Senior Technician at NW Architects in Leeds. The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of construction processes and be happy running high value multi-storey residential projects. They will work with the rest of the architectural team to co-ordinate the delivery of projects with responsibilities including the production of planning and construction drawings as well as liaising with clients, contractors, local planning authorities and building control. Excellent Revit skills and experience are essential.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Produce drawings and documentation as required using Revit and AutoCAD, independently and in collaboration with our technical team and the wider design team.
2. Be responsible for the preparation and coordination of detailed design and production information including drawings and documents for tender/construction packages.
3. Monitor quality and coordination of drawing information ensuring project delivery in line with the programme.
4. Be responsible for the management of the project including health & safety and building legislation requirements along with day to day administration of the projects.
5. Contribute to the design and construction process.
6. Attend design team/client meetings as required.
Qualifications
1. Proficient in Revit and ideally AutoCAD.
2. Experienced in preparing planning and working drawing construction packages.
3. Have a strong knowledge of UK building regulations.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
7. Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
8. A full UK driving licence is preferred.
9. Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
This position is suited for an individual with three - five years of experience in an architectural environment.
