Stephen James Consulting are delighted to be working with one of their key elderly care clients in the search for a Nursing Home Manager based in Colne, Lancashire.
This 45-bedded home provides dementia, nursing, palliative, and respite care. The dedicated team is devoted to enriching the lives of their residents.
The home has recently benefited from a £20,000 revamp, including a sensory garden and musicians who regularly perform for the residents. The local community is embraced into life at the home, with residents invited to events at the church.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and direction to and monitor the performance of the care home team.
2. Manage a large staff team to drive continuously improving outcomes for the residents, adopting a 'risk aware' rather than 'risk averse' approach to care and support.
3. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and revenue for the site.
4. Ensure that notifications to all relevant regulatory bodies are submitted in an appropriate time-frame, including to the CQC, Health and Safety Executive, Commissioners, and Local Authority safeguarding team.
5. Identify and cultivate relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and referral sources to increase client base and revenue.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the highest quality of care and support for residents.
7. Develop and manage a sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth and achievement of revenue targets.
8. Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for new service offerings or partnerships.
Minimum Requirements:
1. RGN qualified - Not Essential.
2. At least 3 years management experience within a nursing or dementia setting.
3. Proven track record of service improvement with excellent commercial acumen.
4. Exceptional leadership across multi-disciplinary teams, achieving the best results from staff teams.
5. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
