Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing, providing, and evaluating safe, high-quality care for sick, preterm, and vulnerable babies.

Main duties of the job
1. Working closely with infants, their parents, carers, and families to support and teach them how to care for their baby, ensuring they feel involved and confident as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
2. Offering emotional support to anxious and distressed parents, providing them with clear, relevant information about their infant's condition to help alleviate concerns and guide them through this challenging time.
Experience of working in a care setting with infants or families would be advantageous but all necessary skills training, professional updates and mandatory training as appropriate to the post will be will be an expectation of a flexible approach to shifts patterns with a commitment to participate in the on call service after appropriate training.Please be advised - this vacancy may close early if we reach a sufficient amount of applications.
