Our business has been experiencing exponential growth, and at our site in March where we produce over 80% of the UK’s prepared Beetroot products and we are looking to grow our finance team. We are looking for a driven and passionate Factory Accountant to work with our Head of Finance to drive performance and offer and influence with sound commercial finance consultation to our business leaders and operational teams. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with operations teams to identify and implement process improvements that lead to cost savings, operational efficiency, and improved financial reporting. Monitor and analyse labour costs across the business, ensuring alignment with operational budgets. Advise HOF on promotional activity and review performance for discussion with Commercial Assist HOF to work closely with Commercial on Performance Analysis to ensure product range is fit for purpose and aligned with Company Commercial and Financial Strategy Develop and maintain a suitable E2E costing model that ensures company targets are met. Advise and highlight opportunity to take out cost / resource that is not critical to current plans and therefore reduce overheads Assist SMA in delivery of period end reports in a timely manner where required Be a key player in the transformation and introduction of finance business partnering from existing finance organisation Collaborate with colleagues across the wider finance community, both in the UK and Globally, to share best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the finance service Be a key player in the drive to improve processes and controls to ensure all aspects of the business are working optimally. Work with HOF and SMA in preparing the annual budget and any other forecasts as necessary, presenting results and explanations of movements to the HOF. Maintain and improve the budgeting and forecast models to enable more understood budgeting and forecasting Work with HOF to deliver improved reporting, analysis and data interpretation. Working alongside IT to systemize requirement. Focused on removal of manual effort and greater performance visibility for business leaders. Be the Finance Champion of variance reporting. Candidate requirements: Strategic and pro-active approach Experience working within a similar role Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. Able to demonstrate agility in a fast-moving FMCG sector. Experience working in fresh produce advantageous. Strong financial modelling skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
