This role will focus on expanding services for adults with learning disabilities and autism, building relationships with NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, and other key stakeholders. The Role:
The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This hybrid role requires regular travel for client meetings, industry events, and collaboration with operational teams to ensure alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce a robust strategic sales plan for your region, aligned with the company’s annual performance goals.
* Identify relevant tender opportunities and lead the internal tender process.
* Organise and attend sales meetings, collaborating with internal teams to enhance service offerings.
* Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and exploring new opportunities.
* Maintain accurate data in CRM software, tracking customer contacts and financial details.
* Undertake marketing activities to generate new business and promote the organisation’s services.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development within the healthcare or social care sectors. You should have experience managing relationships with NHS commissioners, local authorities, or similar entities, and a deep understanding of the complex care landscape.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in business development within healthcare or social care sectors.
* Strong understanding of the complex care and learning disability sectors.
* Experience building relationships with NHS Trusts and Local Authorities.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, focused on client-centric solutions.
* Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently.
* Previous experience in commissioning or account management within the healthcare sector.
* Established network of contacts in the healthcare industry.
Interview Process:
The interview process will consist of two stages:
1. An informal Teams call with the hiring manager.
2. A formal interview with a panel (TBC).
