As a Junior Garment Technologist you will:
1. Be responsible for the technology of fitting & review of all accessories, including Jewellery, Shoes, Hosiery and Single Knickers from the initial 1st Proto to Pre-Production Approval, generating and communicating the relevant paperwork at each stage of the process.
2. Have a keen eye for detail to ensure the look, design and quality of the product meets the brands high expectations.
3. Prepare and communicate the Pre-Production paperwork across all product areas to release stock for shipment.
4. Ensure the weekly fitting list is updated and available every week to be communicated to the Technical team.
5. Assist in fits for other product areas when required.
6. Ensure all Accessories, Hosiery & Single Knickers are fitted within the CP timeline & the documentation communicated to the supplier within the same week of fitting/review.
7. Process & communicate Pre-Production documentation to the suppliers in a timely manner to avoid any shipment delays across all product areas.
8. Liaise and communicate alongside the warehouse QC team in processing all AQL documentation in relation to Accessories, Hosiery and single knickers in a timely manner.
9. Ensure the Technical tracker for the relevant area is updated & communicated to the Head of Technical on a weekly basis.
10. Highlight all issues to Production that could lead to a delay on time delivery.
11. Liaise with the suppliers for updates on sample submission fitting.
12. Generate the weekly team fit list by communicating with the Production coordinator in receiving new samples into the Business.
13. Communicate fitting feedback to all suppliers on any amendments to the product area from 1st Proto through to the Pre-Production process.
14. Assist the senior Technologist’s across all product areas, in the weekly fitting of samples where applicable.
15. Focus on continuous improvement through the analysis of returns and customer feedback, competitor awareness and industry feedback.
16. Assist the Technical team in working with the Creative Director on fitting product at initial proto concept.
17. Analyze all relevant product area samples for make-up and quality of product and communicate comments back to the supplier accordingly.
18. Review AQL submissions from the warehouse QC team and decide on the product status.
19. Drive consistency in fit and quality through product development / approval processes.
20. Ensure all products are safe and legal to international and in-house standards.
