Contract Management Lead - Ref: RT09924
Salary: G13 £56,336 - £61,596 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full-time
What we are looking for:
* An individual with broad experience of developing a Contract Management function and supporting the Head of Procurement and Contract Management in the development of a high functioning team.
* The ability to adopt a business partnering approach to lead the development of commercial contract management best practice across the Council in order to drive commercial outcomes for non-pay spend.
* Someone who will be accountable for the ownership and management of the full repository of agreed contracts in the council’s contract management framework.
About the job:
As Contract Management Lead, you will be accountable for ensuring that key supplier relationships are developed and maintained across the full range of categories and/or contracts. You will seek to embed organisation wide understanding of the Council’s Contract Management Framework, Corporate Procurement Strategy, Contract Rules, Financial Regulations, and UK Legislation in relation to contract management. In addition, you will proactively lead the continuous development of systems and staff training requirements to ensure effective council wide contract management is in place.
About you:
We're looking for someone:
* who has a broad understanding of public sector legislation and various government playbooks in the field of procurement and contract management.
* with extensive knowledge in managing a range of high value, long term contracts and supplier relationships.
* with proven knowledge and understanding of budgetary processes and ability to effectively manage contracts within budgeted sums;
* Level 6 professional qualification in relevant field OR equivalent experience.
