About the role
Benefact Group, are looking for a Senior PMO Analyst to join our Gloucester office.
The purpose of the Senior PMO Analyst is to support the PMO Manager and Project/Programme Managers in the delivery and management of a diverse and ambitious portfolio of business and technology change. This will include leadership and delivery of planning, governance, assurance and reporting & analysis activities at portfolio, programme and project level as well as driving the continuous embedding and improvement of the organisation’s Group Change Approach.

Key responsibilities
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
* Compile, analyse and challenge project data from various sources to prepare regular portfolio status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
* Monitor and challenge project timelines, budgets, benefits and resource allocation to support portfolio planning and delivery.
* Identify trends through data analysis, propose actions directly or escalate to the PMO Manager or Project Managers as necessary.
Governance & Compliance:
* Support the delivery and secretariat of change governance forums
* Conduct assurance reviews to ensure that project documentation and reporting are aligned with organisational standards.
* Deliver RAID management activities, including identifying potential risks, systemic trends, tracking mitigation actions and supporting escalations.
Planning and Forecasting:
* Lead planning activities at portfolio and project level, including tracking and monitoring of objectives, key milestones and dependencies. Manage Jira reporting and administration.
* Facilitate the forecasting and monitoring of resource effort and cost profiles and ensure alignment to plans and objectives.
Project/Portfolio Documentation & Coordination:
* Support Programme and Project managers with the completion of required documentation
* Ensure appropriate approvals, records and libraries are in place to support Project and Portfolio management and control processes.
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of project management templates, tools, and processes.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Take the lead in coordinating appropriate communication to Senior Stakeholders
* Assist in organising meetings, including governance, PMO and assurance sessions.
* Support communication efforts between project teams, business stakeholders, and the PMO via SharePoint, Viva Engage Teams and in dedicated meetings.
Continuous Improvement:
* Act as a key voice in the ongoing development of PMO processes and practices to improve project delivery and reporting.
* Propose and deliver improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group Change Approach across the organisation.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Key Experience
o Experience as a Senior PMO Analyst, or in a similar role within a project management environment.
o Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, portfolio management and reporting tools).
o Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile project management frameworks and industry best practices.
Desirable Experience
* Experience in data visualisation or reporting tools like Power BI
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field
* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous
