We would love to hear from you if…
You have a minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory role within the utilities or civil engineering sector, with specific expertise in High Voltage Substation projects. Demonstrable experience working with or for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) is essential, and familiarity with UK Power Networks (UKPN) processes is particularly desirable.
A recognised qualification such as an HNC in a relevant field, alongside an IOSH certificate. SSSTS or SMSTS accreditation is essential, as is a valid Streetworks Supervisor (NRSWA) certification. A civil engineering qualification and First Aid training are both considered highly advantageous. Due to the mobile nature of the role, a full and valid UK driving licence is a mandatory requirement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is expected, along with a strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations. You will have experience managing gangs, leading briefings, monitoring compliance, and playing an active role in ensuring site operations run smoothly and safely. A proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and a solid grounding in substation works will be key to your success.
