Cherry Ward is a female-only ward for patients with acute mental health needs. We are a busy setting perfect for nurses who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The ward opened in 2021 and was designed in conjunction with patients to develop an environment that is supportive for the patients who use the service.
We are seeking psychologically minded, compassionate nurses who want to develop their clinical & therapeutic skills and who share the trust's aim to work alongside the people we support.

Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
The post holder will be required to contribute to the provision of a 24-hour, seven-day acute inpatient service.
You will work under the supervision of the Ward Manager and Nurse Team Leaders, adhering to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care.
You will develop, implement, and evaluate care plans in conjunction with patients, carers, and other professionals ensuring individual needs are met. You will carry out all relevant forms of care, taking charge of the ward from time to time as allocated. As part of your professional development programme, you will be expected to attend additional training and actively participate in monthly supervision.
You will work as an active member of the wider unit team, taking lead responsibility for a key project/subject matter.
You will be required to prioritise attendance at all training, attend supervision, and apply reflective practice continuously to enable learning needs to be identified and met.

Essential:
* RMN
* Sub part 1 of the NMC Register
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* Commitment to Lifelong Learning and completion of the rotational developmental programme of training.
