Job Title: Induction Assembler/Finisher
Reporting To: Manager, Production
Work Schedule: Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBR
Fixed term contract until 19th September 2025.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Induction Assembler/Finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will perform basic sub-assembly, deburring tasks, and various manual operations on components and sub-assemblies for new builds, aftermarket aerospace, and industrial programs. This role involves working on rotating between AM and PM shift on a 2 weekly rota.
Successfully passing an eye test is a crucial requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform manual operations on a range of components and sub-assemblies.
2. Execute basic fitting and nulling techniques.
3. Conduct bench/wire rating, pressure testing, basic surface grinding, and testing tasks.
4. Remove sharp edges, smooth, size, and remove contamination and burrs.
5. Assist with other relevant tasks as needed.
6. Complete necessary quality audits and obtain self-certification stamps.
7. Work from engineering drawings, inspection plans, and other written instructions.
8. Maintain a clean work environment.
9. Manufacture and assemble components using hand tools, gauges, winding machines, and measuring equipment.
10. Adhere to lean manufacturing principles.
11. Achieve standard time targets within 12 months.
12. Ensure all parts conform to relevant quality standards.
13. Work safely and perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
Qualifications:
1. Reasonable standard of education.
2. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
3. Positive attitude towards lean manufacturing tools and techniques, including 5S.
4. Good timekeeping and attendance record.
5. Special Circumstances: May involve large batch repetitious work.
6. Ability to recognize unusual conditions, errors in documentation, defective materials, and parts.
7. Flexibility to work in any area of manufacturing that fits skill level.
8. Willingness to work overtime and adapt to shift patterns as needed.
