We are taking on 12 Trainee Residential Youth Workers to work in settings Spalding, Stamford and Holbeach.
These are casual positions but nationally recognised training and qualifications are provided to successful candidates and 37+ hours a week are available for those that are looking for full-time hours.
The position of Trainee allows us to take on those individuals looking for a career within the children’s sector that would not be short-listed for full-time positions due to lack experience or qualifications.
We are in a unique position in that we can train, develop and provide hands on experience within Children’s Residential Homes, Secure units and Independent Living settings via the casual route with the intention of placing you into a full-time role within your first three months once you have received relevant training and exposure in our client’s setting.
Candidates must be looking for a career within the sector as our clients are looking to undertake temp – perm contracts with the 8 trainees we take on.
You will be working with young people aged between 11 and 19 with complex behaviour such as autism, eating disorders, sexualised behaviour, self-harm, aggressive personality and addiction.
A driving license is required for this position as you will be required to drive the on-site vehicle to take the service users to social activities and family contacts.
An enhanced DBS must be obtained which is paid by the employer unless you are registered on the government’s on-line status checks.
You need to be 21 years or over for this position as outlined within the national minimum standards.
