Position: Accounts Assistant

About the Business
A family-run business with a proud heritage in the automotive industry, operating across Soham, Kings Lynn, and Huntingdon, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role will support the business by preparing financial information for the internal accountant and ensuring the smooth running of finance operations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing and processing financial data for the internal accountant.
• Performing regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all accounts.
• Managing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Assisting in the compilation of the trial balance (TB).
• Collaborating with the Managing Director and internal team to address financial queries and improve reporting processes.
Requirements
• Proven experience in financial administration, including preparing accounts up to the trial balance stage.
• Strong understanding of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing as a proactive team player in a small, close-knit office environment.
