About the Company:
Our client is a multi-award-winning landscape design, build, and maintenance company with a reputation for excellence. They are looking to expand their talented Landscape Design team and are seeking a skilled Landscape Design Technician to play a key role in their exciting projects.
The Role:
As a Landscape Design Technician, you will work closely with senior designers, supporting them in the production of high-quality design models, drawings, and technical details. You will use 2D and 3D software to create visual representations that bring landscape concepts to life. Additionally, you will contribute to developing the team's technical drawing skills, helping to elevate overall design expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings, sketches, and models for landscape design projects.
2. Collaborating with senior designers on various public, private, and commercial projects.
3. Assisting in the development and mentorship of junior team members.
4. Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all technical and construction detailing.
5. Liaising with landscape contractors and fabricators as required.
6. Keeping up to date with industry trends to ensure designs remain fresh and innovative.
What We're Looking For:
1. Degree or Diploma in Landscape/Garden Design or Landscape Architecture (or similar qualification).
2. Approximately 5 years' experience in a landscape or design studio.
3. Strong technical and construction detailing skills.
4. Experience working with Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Cloud (or proficiency in AutoCAD with a willingness to train).
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. A proactive attitude with a passion for design.
8. Full UK driving licence required.
Desirable Skills:
1. Good horticultural knowledge.
2. Ability to hand sketch, design, and render both digitally and on paper.
