Social Worker Childrens Services Location: South West of England Salary: Competitive Myn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term client in the South West of England for an experienced Social Worker to join a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team. Your Role Complete child and family assessments and work with children in Child in Need (complex cases), Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings, Care Proceedings, and Private Proceedings through to Adoption. Participate in the duty rota, responding to risk, conducting strategy discussions, and taking part in Section 47 enquiries. Work closely with substance recovery workers, domestic abuse specialists, and other professionals to strengthen family relationships and support children at risk of entering care. What Were Looking For Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (Dip HE/Degree or Post Grad). Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience: At least three years post-qualified experience in a child protection team. Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to conduct high-quality assessments and develop clear plans. Comfortable working in court settings and writing professional reports. Organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise workloads effectively. Knowledge: A solid understanding of child development, attachment theory, and family court processes. Familiarity with legislation and policies related to Looked After Children, Child Protection, and Children in Need. Why Join Myn?
