The Opportunity:
Join us as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and play a key role in discovering the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying vascular diseases. In this position, you will conduct essential research to investigate the nature and toxicity of protein and amyloid aggregates, exploring their impact on endothelial function and the development of vascular pathologies.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We expect this role to be mainly based on-site, however, we are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is UE07 £40,247 to £47,874 per annum.
This is a fixed term post for 30 months or to 30th April 2028.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology or similar) with relevant post-graduate research experience and accumulated knowledge.
A PhD or equivalent in cardiovascular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, physiology or a related discipline.
Prior expertise and knowledge of the subject area and techniques.
Tight time management skills and effective communication.
Independent working ability.
