Role Overview
The Deputy Team Manager for Litigation is responsible for assisting in assessing and managing the risk of litigation, including Kindertons Group debt outsourced with both Client and Kindertons appointed Solicitors.
Duties include:
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the team.
* Management of the team's work productivity.
* Managing and maintaining insurer relationships.
* Arranging conference calls with insurers to complete debt deals and resolve issues.
* Represent the business on external insurer visits when required.
* Ensure swift settlement on unpaid cases within your remit, ensuring they do not age.
* Collate, prepare, and deliver the team's performance reviews in line with the Achievement & Development Framework.
* Review and produce development plans based on audit results and observations.
* Coach, support, and empower the team.
* Provide manager relief during holidays/sickness.
* Ensure collective targets are attained.
* Resource, manage, and deploy resources according to business needs.
* Review, evaluate, and lead change to processes.
* Report actuals against key performance indicators and explain key deviations.
* Achieve KPIs and objectives while understanding the commercial needs of the business.
* Identify, analyze, and report on team and insurer performance using various MI methods.
* Lead and coordinate various recovery projects, ensuring effective communication across the business.
* Demonstrate company core values in all working practices.
* Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements appropriate to the business.
You should have:
* Sound judgment and technical knowledge, along with commercial awareness.
* Excellent working knowledge of the wider insurance market, specifically credit hire.
* Comprehensive understanding of cradle-to-grave claims handling.
* Extensive knowledge of liability, impecuniosity, basic hire rate, fraud, and complex issues.
* Experience in supporting and mentoring people.
