Job summary If you are a qualified Radiographer come and train to be a mammographer and join our dynamic team at the Breast care centre at Musgrove Park Hospital. You will be working with a team who provide both Symptomatic and National Breast Screening Services across Somerset. You will be working with up to date breast imaging equipment offering Tomosynthesis for breast assessment. You will be also part of the team providing the National breast screening service travelling to and working on mobile units around Somerset. Main duties of the job We will train you to obtain a post graduate certificate in mammography. Training is nationally and inhouse this will take usually about 1 year. You will be able to preform good mammograms to a national standard, be able to work in assessment clinics, assist with breast biopsy and learn extra imaging techniques. You will work with the symptomatic team performing mammograms and follow up mammograms. You will become efficient on all the IT and imaging systems in the centre to be able to work efficiently in the team.
