Job Purpose Implement effective strategic sales programmes designed to increase or retain membership and achieve sales targets. Responsible for the customer journey from initial enquiry through to member sign-up. Job Tasks/Duties Recruits, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates a team comprised of Membership Advisors according to established resort procedures; provides sales and other applicable training to team members with central support. Manages sales process from initial lead generation through to effective follow-up and outreach in order to convert enquiries to business and meet membership goals; uses mediums such as phone calls, newsletters, mail flyers, notices on website and social media; responds to web enquiries in a timely manner. Responsible for local sales generation incorporated into an agreed annual sales planner. Maintains the membership register; requests active members to make personal referrals in order to boost the recruitment effort. Coordinates with the Event Sales Manager the updating of the resort’s calendar, including new members events. Develops and ensures that established procedures for processing prospective members’ applications are consistently followed. Conducts orientation programme for new members and tours for prospective members as described in the Tour Assessment Form; ensures that applications are properly filled out, initiation fees are collected, and new members fully understand the privileges and costs of becoming a member. Processes new memberships or requests for transfers of membership onto the system. Research competitors to gain insight into their membership sales tactics; recommends stronger business strategies, warding off competitors, and capturing market share for The Company. Researches the need for ongoing sales promotions regarding demographics, market segmentation data etc; makes recommendations regarding membership classifications to help ensure that the needs of ever-changing markets are met. Drives and adheres to a departmental budget; monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained. Fully conversant with the resort’s Health & Safety policy and emergency procedures for fire and accident, reporting any accidents in the prescribed manner. Attends departmental team meetings as required and completes other sales assignments given by the Resort Director. To ensure a high degree of personal presentation and hygiene in line with the company’s dress and appearance policy.
